Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Skyla Isidore (Jr./Morne Castries, St. Lucia) tallied 16 kills to lead Saint Augustine's University to a 3-1 CIAA Southern Division volleyball victory over Johnson C. Smith University at Brayboy Gymnasium on Thursday, September 19, 2013.

Victoria Davis (Sr./San Diego, Calif.) added 12 kills and Olivia Porter (Fr./Bakersfield, Calif.) chipped in 11 kills for the Lady Falcons, who won their second consecutive match. Julieesa Thomas (So./St. Croix, US Virgin Islands) handed out 26 assists for the Lady Falcons. Jane Tukia led the Lady Golden Bulls with 10 kills and Kayla Bazemore added 16 assists.

The Lady Falcons handled the Lady Golden Bulls 25-14 in the first game, but lost the second game 25-21. The third game was close with the Lady Falcons prevailing 29-27 before taking the last game 25-16 for the win.

The Lady Falcons improved to 1-0 in the Southern Division, 2-2 in the CIAA and 2-5 overall. The loss was the first in the CIAA for the Lady Golden Bulls, who dropped to 0-1 in the Southern Division, 3-1 in the CIAA and 5-4 overall.

The Lady Falcons play their home opener on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013. They host Winston-Salem State University inside Emery Gymnasium on campus at 6 p.m.
