Olivia Porter (Sr./Bakersfield, CA) paced Saint Augustine's University with 14 kills and 18 digs, but the Lady Falcons fell in four sets (23-25, 25-21, 14-25, 25-27) to Johnson C. Smith University in a CIAA Southern Division volleyball match at Brayboy Gymnasium on Monday, October 13, 2014.

Juliseea Thomas (Jr./St. Croix, US VI) added 17 assists and 17 digs for the Lady Falcons (2-4 Southern Division, 5-7 CIAA, 6-13 overall).
Meghan Mahon (So./Houston, TX) handed out 13 assists and
Marley Parker (Fr./Langley, British Columbia) chipped in 11 digs.

The Lady Falcons jumped out to a 20-15 lead in the first set on a Thomas kill off a Porter assist. The Lady Golden Bulls outscored the Lady Falcons 10-3 to win the first set by two points.

Led by three kills apiece from Porter and
Danyelle Noland (Fr./Nashville, NC) and two kills from
Mikayla Pettyjohn (Fr./Jamestown, NC), the Lady Falcons regrouped to win the second set. Leading 21-20, Noland finished off the Lady Golden Bulls with two kills off assists by Mahon and a block.

After the Lady Golden Bulls won the third set for a 2-1 lead, the Lady Falcons almost forced a fifth set. They were ahead 22-18 but the Lady Golden Bulls rallied to take the fourth set and the match.
