Despite the loss, the Lady Falcons' future looks bright. Everybody returns from a squad that defeated CIAA playoff teams Winston-Salem State University, Virginia State University and Elizabeth City State University during the regular season. They pushed two-time defending league champion Fayetteville State University to five sets in both losses.
Their roster this season included six freshmen and two sophomores. They will miss Chelsea Farrior (Sr./Tampa, FL), who played for the Lady Falcons the past two years but was a valuable student assistant coach this season.
"We are returning the entire squad and will be looking to add some much needed height during the early signing period," SAU Head Coach
Nikki Bynum Bumpass said. "This group has a great future to look forward to."
