RALEIGH, N.C. – The Saint Augustine's University volleyball team will host the Lady Falcon Volleyball Challenge on Friday, Sept. 4 and Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Emery Gymnasium. Admission is free.
Five teams including Saint Augustine's University will compete in the inaugural event. Seven matches will be played in a two-day span with the Lady Falcons scheduled for three matches.
Head Coach Nikki Bynum Bumpass is looking forward to opening the season at home. The Lady Falcons have started the season on the road in previous years since Bumpass became head coach in 2011.
"We are very excited about the level of competition coming to the Challenge," Bumpass said. "We look forward to an awesome weekend of volleyball action."
The other teams participating are Elizabeth City State University, Glenville State College, North Greenville University and West Virginia State University. Elizabeth City State is a member of the CIAA conference along with the Lady Falcons, but the two Universities are not scheduled to face each other.
Four matches are set for Friday with the first match beginning at 10 a.m. Three matches will be played on Saturday with the first match starting at 8 a.m.

3 p.m. - Saint Augustine's University vs. North Greenville University
5 p.m. - Elizabeth City State University vs. West Virginia State University
7 p.m. - Saint Augustine's University vs. Glenville State College
Saturday, Sept. 5:
8 a.m. - Elizabeth City State University vs. North Greenville University
10 a.m. - Saint Augustine's University vs. West Virginia State University
1 p.m. - North Greenville University vs. Glenville State College
