SAU Volleyball Team To Face Shaw And Allen In Tri-Match Event Saturday (Sept. 12)

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Saint Augustine's University women's volleyball team will face Shaw University and Allen University in a Tri-Match Event at Spaulding Gymnasium on Shaw's campus Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015. The match against Shaw begins at 10 a.m. and the match against Allen starts at 1 p.m. Admission is free.

The Lady Falcons (1-3 overall) are led by Olivia Porter (Jr./Bakersfield, CA), who leads the CIAA in kills (55) and ranks second in kills per set (3.93). Newcomer Zoey Isom (Fr./Phoenix, AZ) leads the conference in digs (83) and digs per set (5.93), and Juliseea Thomas (Sr./St. Croix, US Virgin Islands) ranks fourth in the CIAA in assists (69).

Shaw (2-2 overall) is sparked by Kelly Murphy, who ranks second in kills (54) and third in kills per set (3.60) in the CIAA. Michelle Olmeda-Gonzalez of the Lady Bears leads the conference in assists per set (9.23).

Allen enters the Tri-Match with a 2-2 overall mark. The trio of Kayla Sutton, Deidre Davis and Tilar Stanford leads the Lady Yellow Jackets.
