A victory would put the Falcons (1-0 Southern Division, 2-1 CIAA, 2-4 overall) atop the Southern Division standings. They have won three of their last four CIAA contests dating back to last season. The Rams (1-0 Southern Division, 3-0 CIAA, 4-2 overall) are first in the division and the Falcons are second heading into the game.
