RALEIGH, NC (Nov 15) – On Friday, Nov. 18, Saint Augustine's University will take on Chowan University in the quarterfinals of the CIAA Volleyball Tournament at the VSU Multipurpose Center in Ettrick, Va. The match begins at 12 p.m.

The Lady Falcons (9-13 overall) qualified as the No. 4 Southern Division seed under first-year Head Coach Serita Wilson after missing the tournament last season. They face the No. 1 Northern Division seed in Chowan (21-9 overall), which clinched its third consecutive division crown last week.
The winner will advance to Saturday's semifinals to meet either Fayetteville State University or Virginia Union University and the loser will be eliminated. Eight teams – the top four squads in the Northern and Southern Divisions – will be competing in the tournament.
Both the Lady Falcons and the Hawks feature standout players. Saint Augustine's University's Shakera Hall (So./Bridgetown, Barbados) and Meghan Mahon (Sr./Houston, TX) were All-CIAA selections and Chowan's Suraya Chase was named CIAA Volleyball Player of the Year.
