RALEIGH, NC (Sept 18) – Today, Saint Augustine's University toppled Elizabeth City State University in straight sets at the CIAA Volleyball Round-Up I in Murfreesboro, N.C.

Olivia Porter (Sr./Bakersfield, CA) and Shakera Hall (So./Bridgetown, Barbados) paced the Lady Falcons with 14 kills and 12 kills, respectively, in the 25-8, 25-13, 25-18 victory. Brittany Jamison (So./Summerville, SC) added eight kills and four solo blocks while Meghan Mahon (Sr./Houston, TX) dished out 34 assists. Zoey Isom (So./Phoenix, AZ) totaled 17 digs.

The Lady Falcons bounced back for their first conference victory after losing twice Saturday. They improved to 3-6 overall and 1-2 in the CIAA. Elizabeth City State remained winless at 0-8 overall and 0-3 in the league.

The Lady Falcons host Johnson C. Smith University in their home opener on Thursday, Sept. 22. The starting time is 6 p.m. at Emery Gymnasium.
