Lady Falcons Face Johnson C. Smith In Southern Division Matchup
RALEIGH, NC (Sept 21) – Saint Augustine's University will host Johnson C. Smith University in its home volleyball opener at Emery Gymnasium on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
The Lady Falcons enter the conference match with a 3-6 overall record and a 1-2 league mark. The Golden Bulls are 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the CIAA. This is the first Southern Division match for both teams.
Preseason All-CIAA player Olivia Porter (Sr./Bakersfield, CA) paces the Lady Falcons. She ranks third nationally in Division II and leads the CIAA with 4.94 kills per set. Shakera Hall (So./Bridgetown, Barbados) ranks second in the conference with 3.41 kills per set.
Meghan Mahon (Sr./Houston, TX) is the CIAA leader in assists with 8.65 per set. Preseason All-CIAA player Zoey Isom (So./Phoenix, AZ) ranks second in the conference with 4.18 digs per set.
The Golden Bulls are led by Anteesha Smoots. She averages a team-high 2.38 kills per set.
