RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 5) – Saint Augustine's University hosts Livingstone College on Senior Night in the season's final home volleyball match at Emery Gymnasium on Monday, Nov. 6. Admission is free to the match, which begins at 6 p.m.
Before the match, a ceremony will be held to honor seniors Shakera Hall (Bridgetown, Barbados), Akera McPhaul (Greensboro, NC), Marley Parker (Langley, British Columbia) and Elisa Ray (Nashville, TN).
The Lady Falcons (1-7 Southern Division, 4-10 CIAA) are seeking to sweep Livingstone in the season series. In their first meeting on Oct. 9, Hall recorded 17 kills and Mechelle Moss (Fr./Nassau, Bahamas) added 10 kills as the Lady Falcons defeated the Lady Blue Bears 3-1 in Salisbury, N.C.
Hall enters Monday's match averaging 5.16 kills per set, which ranks third nationally in Division II. She ranks first in the CIAA in kills per set and total kills (232), and Taylor Irving (Fr./Litchfield, AZ) ranks second in the conference in assists per set (7.05). For Livingstone (0-8 Southern Division, 3-17 overall), Ajia Long ranks 10th in the CIAA in kills per set (2.24).
