Taylor Irving (Fr./Litchfield, AZ) added 36 assists and three service aces, and Marley Parker (Sr./Langley, British Columbia) contributed 12 digs and four service aces for the Lady Falcons, who also got 11 digs from Chandra Mackey (Fr./Nassau, Bahamas).
Ajia Long had nine kills and Jekisha Rhymes added eight kills and 14 digs for the Lady Blue Bears (0-9 Southern Division, 3-18 overall). Alondra Rivera registered 20 digs for the visitors.
Before the match, a ceremony was held honoring seniors Hall, Parker, Akera McPhaul (Greensboro, NC) and Elisa Ray (Nashville, TN), who were making their final appearances inside Emery Gymnasium. It seemed to spur the Lady Falcons, who outscored the Lady Blue Bears 7-1 down the stretch to take the first set after holding a slim 18-16 lead. Moss recorded four kills during the run.
The Lady Blue Bears evened the score 1-1 after winning the second set, but the Lady Falcons regrouped to claim the last two sets for the win. In the third set, Moss totaled three kills and four digs, and Hall added two kills, five digs and two solo blocks as the Lady Falcons cruised to victory, winning by 16 points. The fourth set was closer but the Lady Falcons triumphed, outscoring the Lady Blue Bears 8-2 to break a 17-17 tie. Parker collected three service aces and Hall added two kills during the spurt.
After beating Livingstone, the Lady Falcons (2-7 Southern Division, 5-10 overall) will travel crosstown to visit rival Shaw University in the regular-season finale on Thursday, Nov. 9. The match will be held at Spaulding Gymnasium starting at 6 p.m.
