SAU Volleyball Set For CIAA Round-Up I This Weekend (Sept. 8-9)

RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 7) – Saint Augustine's University begins conference volleyball play this weekend in the CIAA Round-Up I.

The Lady Falcons travel to Ettrick, Va., for the second straight week to face three CIAA teams. On Saturday, Sept. 8, the Lady Falcons take on Chowan at 12 p.m. and Virginia State at 3 p.m. On Sunday, Sept. 9, they meet Elizabeth City State at 12 p.m.

This will be the second meeting this season between the Lady Falcons and Virginia State, which hosted the VSU Tournament on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. The match was one of three non-conference clashes for the Lady Falcons, who also played an exhibition match in the tournament.

After three matches this season, Brittany Jamison (Jr./Charleston, SC) leads the Lady Falcons (0-3 overall) in kills per set (1.89). Chandra Mackey (So./Nassau, Bahamas) paces the team in digs per set (3.25) and Zoey Isom (Sr./Phoenix, AZ) is the team leader in assists per set (4.22).
