AspireTV To Televise SAU-Shaw Raleigh Classic Football Game In November 2022

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 25) – The Saint Augustine's University-Shaw rivalry is one of the best in the nation, and a national television audience will find out why on Nov. 5.

AspireTV will televise the crosstown rivals on the gridiron as part of its five-game CIAA football TV package this season. Both teams, which are minutes apart from each other, will battle to determine the Raleigh Classic champion at 1 p.m. The site will be determined.

"Viewers across the nation will see what we already know," SAU Head Coach David Bowser said. "That this is a special rivalry between two local HBCUs. Thank you CIAA and AspireTV!"

AspireTV is on Spectrum cable channel 185, DirecTV channel 381 and AT&T U-verse channels 158 and 1158.

The Falcons are the defending Raleigh Classic champions, defeating Shaw 21-17 at the George Williams Athletic Complex in November 2021.

This is the second straight year the Falcons will be on AspireTV. Last season, SAU faced Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte, N.C., in an October 2021 game.

Also, HBCUGo.TV will livestream seven conference games featuring SAU as part of its 30-game CIAA schedule. The streaming service will use the feed from the CIAA Sports Network (theciaasn.com).

The CIAA Sports Network will continue to livesteam all football games (conference and non-conference) of the conference's 12-member schools.
