Jones Of SAU Named To The Preseason All-CIAA Volleyball Team

The Preseason All-CIAA Team and Predicted Order of Finish

RALEIGH, N.C. (Aug. 24) - Middle hitter/blocker Madison Jones (So./Durham, NC) of Saint Augustine's University was selected to the 2022 Preseason All-CIAA Volleyball Team, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Last season, Jones led the Lady Falcons in blocks (42) and hitting percentage (.229) and was second in kills per set (2.99) to earn All-CIAA and All-CIAA Rookie honors as a freshman. She ranked fifth in kills per set, eighth in hitting percentage and fourth in points per set (3.53) in the CIAA.

Jones sparked the Lady Falcons to their first CIAA Tournament appearance since 2016. This season, the Lady Falcons are predicted to finish fourth in the Southern Division and eighth out of 12 teams overall. If the predictions are true, the Lady Falcons would qualify for the conference tournament for the second straight year as the top eight teams advance to the tourney.
