Ten Home Matches Highlight 2022 SAU Volleyball Schedule

RALEIGH, N.C. (Aug. 9) – Ten home matches highlight the 2022 Saint Augustine's University (SAU) volleyball schedule. Click HERE or go to the volleyball page on the SAU athletic website to view the schedule.

The Lady Falcons open the season at home in the SAU Tri-Match on Sept. 9. They will host Bluefield State and Wake Tech Community College.

"Coming of last year's appearance in the CIAA Tournament, I am ecstatic about the upcoming season," Head Coach Tacara Moxey said. "The SAU Tri-Match is a great way to set the tone."

The CIAA home opener against Winston-Salem State is Sept. 19. From Oct. 3 to Oct. 9, the Lady Falcons will play four consecutive home matches. They take on Claflin Oct. 3 before hosting the CIAA Roundup II, where they will face Virginia Union and Elizabeth City State on Oct. 8 and Bowie State on Oct. 9.

SAU hosts Livingstone on Oct. 20, Fayetteville State on Oct. 27 and Johnson C. Smith on Oct. 31 on Senior Night.

The away schedule includes matches in the CIAA Roundup I, which will be held in Bowie, Md., on Sept. 24-25. The Lady Falcons will also play in the Bluefield State Quad Match in Bluefield, W.Va., on Oct. 15 and the Charleston (W.Va.) Tri-Match on Oct. 29 in addition to facing their CIAA Southern Division opponents in the away portion of the home-and-home series.

The Lady Falcons bring back six returnees including All-CIAA players Madison Jones (So./Durham, NC/Middle Blocker) and Sydney Moore (Jr./West Bloomfield, MI/Setter).

All home matches are free to the public at Emery Gymnasium.
