Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 24) – Deandre Proctor (So./Elizabeth City, NC) completed a 51-yard touchdown pass to Mekhi Hague (R-Fr./Winston-Salem, NC) in the second quarter to go along with four receptions for 44 yards, one receiving touchdown, and three rushes for 33 yards for Saint Augustine's University in a 36-20 loss to Bowie State at the George Williams Athletic Complex on Saturday.

Ty'quereon Hines (Fr./Greenville, NC) recorded six tackles and two interceptions. Lee Sales (R-So./Winston-Salem, NC) joined Hines with six tackles to lead a stout defense that limited the CIAA Defending Champion Bowie State Bulldogs' offense to zero touchdowns in the first half. 

The Falcons played hard the entire game but were undone by three interceptions, a safety, and a fumble. The turnovers led to 19 Bowie State points to help the Bulldogs (2-2 overall) snap their two-game losing streak.

Donovan Brewington (R-So./Hope Mills, NC) completed a 15-yard pass to Proctor and a 4-yard pass to Jaylen Siermons (R-So./Fayetteville, NC) in the fourth quarter. William Reid (Fr./Washington, NC) made two extra points.

Corey Johnson rushed for 117-yards on 16 carries and a touchdown for Bowie State. Dion Golatt, Jr. threw nine completions on 16 attempts for 130-yards to go along with two rushes for 30-yards and a rushing touchdown.

The Falcons (0-4 overall) are on the road next Saturday, Oct. 1, against Virginia Union in Richmond, Va. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
