The Saint Augustine's University (SAU) Falcons Football Team will host four home games at the George Williams Athletic Complex for the 2023 season. SAU and first-year Head Coach Howard Feggins hope for a successful turnaround this season.

The Falcons will host all four home games this season at the George Williams Athletic Complex. Each of them will kick off at 1 p.m. 

2023 Falcons Home Football Schedule 

Sept. 16 - Virginia State

Sept. 30 - Virginia Union 

Oct. 7 - Fayetteville State (Homecoming)

Nov. 4 - Shaw University (Raleigh Classic & Senior Day)

The Falcons will open the season on the road against Lenoir-Rhyne on Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. SAU is 0-1 versus LRU since 2019, who finished 8-3 overall and 7-2 in the South Atlantic Conference last season. 

SAU will stay on the road against Elizabeth City State for the 2023 Down East Classic on Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. The Down East Viking Football Classic has grown yearly, drawing over 10,000 fans to the Rocky Mount Athletic Complex. For more information, click here.

The Falcons will host their home opener Sept. 16 against Virginia State, followed by a road matchup Sept. 23 versus Bowie State.

SAU returns home for two consecutive games starting with Virginia Union on Sept. 30. Falcon alumni and fans will return to campus for their annual week of homecoming activities leading up to the 1 p.m. kickoff versus the 2022 CIAA Championship winner, Fayetteville State, on Oct. 7. 

Following homecoming, the Falcons begin a three-game road trip starting with Johnson C. Smith on Oct. 14. The Falcons are 6-7 versus the Golden Bulls since 2009, which includes a 28-25 homecoming victory last season. SAU continues its road trip versus Winston-Salem State on Oct. 21 and completes its travels versus Livingstone on Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.

SAU returns home for their final game of the regular season, featuring the Bears of Shaw for the Raleigh Classic and Senior Day on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. SAU is 3-3 at the George Williams Athletic Complex versus Shaw since 2009 and will look to avenge their narrow 30-27 overtime road loss last year at Durham County Stadium.
