RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 13) – Saint Augustine's University (SAU) visits its crosstown rival Shaw University in its CIAA volleyball opener on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Spaulding Gymnasium. The match begins at 6 p.m.

Both teams prepared for the CIAA season by competing against tough competition. The Lady Falcons (0-3 overall) visited the UWG Tournament. The Bears (7-2 overall) participated in the Frostburg Tournament and Mount Olive Invitational.

The Lady Falcons are led on offense by Madison Jones and La'Tavia Braynen. Nayara Pereira leads the team in digs, and Sydney Moore leads the Lady Falcons in assists and service aces.

The Bears are led by Lillian Carlson on offense. Jasmine Culp has the most digs and Lauren Janok is the team's top setter.
