RALEIGH, N.C. – The basketball doubleheader between crosstown rivals Saint Augustine's College and Shaw University will be played tonight (Feb. 1) as scheduled at Spaulding Gymnasium on Shaw's campus. The women's game will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.

The Lady Falcons (11-7 overall, 7-4 CIAA, 1-0 Western Division) will try to extend their two-game win streak over the Lady Bears (11-6, 6-5 CIAA, 0-1 Western Division), ranked eighth in the Atlantic Region, while the Falcon men's team (15-3, 9-2 CIAA, 1-0 Western) will attempt to stretch their seven-game win streak over the Bears (10-8, 7-4 CIAA, 0-1 Western). The Falcons, ranked eighth in the Atlantic Region, have won their last six games and own the best overall and league record in the CIAA.
