ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - Joel Kindred (Fr./Raleigh, N.C.) scored 15 points and Darrell Glass (Jr./Washington, D.C.) added 12 points for Saint Augustine's College, who dropped a 71-57 CIAA men's basketball contest to Elizabeth City State Thursday at Vaughn Center.

The Falcons (4-10 overall, 3-3 CIAA) connected on 21-of-59 shots for 36 percent while the Vikings (10-4, 4-2 CIAA) made 24 of 50 shots for 48 percent including 6 of 15 three-point field goals for 40 percent. The Falcons failed to hit a three-point bucket in 12 attempts.

Chris Johnson had 8 points for the Falcons, who outrebounded the Vikings 39-35 and outscored them in the paint 34-26. Deon Rice came off the bench to lead the Vikings with 17 points and Rondy Tucker added 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The Falcons are back home Saturday against crosstown rival Shaw at Emery Gymnasium starting at 4 p.m. The Vikings hit the road to face Lincoln (Pa.) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
