The Saint Augustine's College men's basketball team will be tested this weekend in the Barton 45-Second Classic hosted by Barton College.
The Falcons visit host Barton College Friday (Dec. 2) at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday (Dec. 3), the Falcons meet Mount Olive College at 2 p.m. The site of the event is Wilson Gymnasium in Wilson, N.C.
The combined record of both opponents is 10-1. Barton College is 5-1 overall including three wins over CIAA opponents by an average margin of 15.3 points. Mount Olive College is unbeaten at 5-0 overall.
The Falcons (2-2 overall) are in the midst of a strong non-conference road schedule. Two weeks ago, they competed in the Catawba Classic which featured Alabama-Huntsville, then the No. 2 team in the nation. Seven of the Falcons' first 10 games are away.
Sensational sophomore guard
Joel Kindred (Raleigh, N.C.) leads the Falcons in scoring with an 18.8 average. Swingman
Chris Johnson (R-Soph./Hampton, Va.) is second in scoring at 10.5 points a contest.
The Falcons are coming off a 101-83 win over Virginia University of Lynchburg last Saturday in Raleigh, N.C. Kindred sparked the Falcons with 22 points in the win.
