Chris Johnson (Hampton, Va.) scored 12 points to lead a balanced attack as Saint Augustine's College tripped Virginia Union 68-58 Thursday (Jan. 12) in CIAA men's basketball action at Emery Gymnasium.
The win was the fourth straight for the Falcons (8-5, 3-0 CIAA), who finish a four-game homestand Saturday against 12
th-ranked Bowie State at 4 p.m. The Falcons are 6-0 inside Emery Gymnasium this season.

Darrell Glass (Washington, D.C.) collected six points and a game-high eight rebounds, freshman center
Jonathan Crawley (Richmond, Va.) chipped in five points and sophomore guard
Tyron Laughinghouse (Greenville, N.C.) had four points and four rebounds. The play of the reserves combined with the production of starters Johnson, junior forward
Jon Kindred (Raleigh N.C./8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals) and junior guard
David Brown (Richmond, Va./8 points) was enough to put away the Panthers (6-10, 1-2 CIAA).
Damion Harris led the Panthers with 15 points while Calvin Brown and Juan Wilson scored 13 and 12 points, respectively. After trailing 33-25 at halftime, the Panthers took their first lead of the game at 36-35 with 13:50 left.
The Falcons quickly moved back in front 37-36 on Johnson's jumper and never looked back. A three-pointer by sophomore guard
Chris Rhodes (Greenville, S.C.) and another Johnson jumper pushed the lead to 42-36. The Panthers pulled within two points twice, but the Falcons turned it on down the stretch, extending the lead to 10 points with one minute to play.
