The Saint Augustine's University men's basketball team resumes play this weekend at the Mount Olive Pickle Classic in Mount Olive, N.C. on Friday, November 23 and Saturday, November 24, 2013. The Falcons visit host Mount Olive College Friday in a 7:30 p.m. encounter inside Kornegay Arena on Mount Olive's campus. They return to Kornegay Arena on Saturday to face Barton College at 5 p.m.

The Falcons (2-1 overall) are coming off a tough 82-78 double overtime loss to Claflin University at home on Tuesday, November 19 after winning their first two contests. Senior center Jon Crawley (Richmond, VA) posted a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds, and junior guard Raheem Joliffe (Fayetteville, NC) scored 17 points for the Falcons. Senior guard

Amere May (South Haven, MI) each scored 13 points. Kindred was honored in a brief ceremony after scoring his 1,000
th-career point during the contest.
May paces the Falcons with a 24.3 scoring average, and Kindred averages 20.7 points and 11 rebounds. Kindred was named CIAA Basketball Player of the Week and May was named CIAA Basketball Newcomer of the Week this week. Crawley averages 14.3 points and 11.3 rebounds and sophomore forward
Daniel Clark (Danville, VA) averages 11.3 points and 8.3 rebounds a game. The Falcons score at 97.3 points a clip.
Mount Olive (3-1 overall) has won three consecutive games. Junior guard-forward Jordan McCain leads the Trojans with a 15.2 scoring average and sophomore guard Dontrell Brite averages 12.5 points. Sophomore guard John Wieland averages 10 points. The Trojans lost to CIAA member Shaw University in the season opener and defeated CIAA member Elizabeth City State University in their second game. In its last contest, Mount Olive defeated Queens 81-78 on Nov. 16. McCain paced the Trojans with 18 points in that game.
Barton (2-2 overall) defeated Shaw and lost to Elizabeth City State this season. Sophomore guard Chris Flemmings leads the Bulldogs with a 14.2 scoring average. The Bulldogs defeated Tusculum 84-78 in their last game on Nov. 16 in the Carson-Newman Classic. Flemmings led five Barton double-figure scorers with 14 points.
Advance ticket prices are $15 including both days. On game day, ticket prices are $10 for one day. Children ages four and under are admitted free.
