The doubleheader will be played at Rivero Hall on Lincoln University's campus. The times are 2 p.m. for the women's contest and 4 p.m. for the men's matchup.

This will be the second away game in three days for the Falcons and Lady Falcons. Both teams are in the second of a five-game road stretch.

Both the Falcons (3-0 CIAA, 10-3 overall) and Lady Falcons (3-0 CIAA, 8-4 overall) are carrying win streaks into the doubleheader. The Falcons came back from a 12-point second-half deficit to defeat Bowie State University 79-69 for their eighth straight win on Thursday, January 9. Junior guard Amere May (South Haven, MI) scored 23 points including seven points in the last 1:11 to lead the Falcons to victory. Senior guard-forward Joel Kindred (Raleigh, NC) added 13 points and junior forward Tashaun Stockdale (Poplar, SC) added 10 points including a key three-point play late. May leads the CIAA with a 21.7 scoring average for the Falcons, who outscored the Bulldogs 29-6 in bench points. The win streak is the longest since the 2009-10 season.

The Lady Falcons hit 6 of 6 free throws in the final two minutes to hold off Bowie State 73-69 for their sixth consecutive win. Sophomore forward Lakiya Rouse (Greensboro, NC) scored a career-high 15 points including 4 of 4 free throws during that two-minute stretch. Sophomore guard Jeanne Marie-Wilson (Temple Hills, MD) added 12 points and sophomore guard Porscha Walton (Chesterfield, VA) had 10 points for the Lady Falcons, who outscored the Lady Bulldogs 40-30 in bench points. Their win streak is the longest since the 2009-10 season.

The Falcons expect a stern test against the Lincoln men (2-2 CIAA, 10-3 overall), who have won three of their last four games including a 74-69 home win over Fayetteville State University on Thursday, January 9. The Lions (0-4 CIAA, 6-7 overall) are led in scoring by Derrick Washington with a 14.0 average. The Lady Lions have lost their last four games including a 70-65 home defeat to Fayetteville State on Thursday. Cynthia Johnson is the Lady Lions' scoring leader with an 11.4 average.
