Box Score Guard Amere May (South Haven, MI) of Saint Augustine's University was named CIAA Co-Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 after scoring 15 points in a 77-74 overtime win over Elizabeth City State University on Saturday.

May swished two foul shots with 0.3 seconds left in overtime to clinch the win for the Falcons, who erased a 21-point second-half lead. He leads the CIAA with a 21.6 scoring average.

The junior transfer from Delaware State University has won four CIAA weekly basketball awards this season. He has been selected league Player of the Week twice and Newcomer of the Week twice.
