Kennedy Health and Physical Education Center on Saturday, November 22, 2014.Jolliffe has scored 20 or more points in all three games this season. He entered the contest leading the CIAA in scoring, and is currently averaging 22.7 points a game. Guard Keith Crawford (Redshirt Jr./Richmond, VA) added 10 points for the Falcons, who shot 40 percent from the floor. Claflin made 52 percent of its shots including 63 percent in the first half when they built a 44-32 halftime lead. Both teams were sizzling behind the three-point line. The Falcons made 8 of 16 three-pointers for 50 percent and Claflin (1-2 overall) connected on 10 of 21 threes for 48 percent. Jolliffe made 3 of 4 three-pointers and Crawford was a perfect 2 of 2 from three-point range for the Falcons. In the first half, the Falcons were 2 of 4 behind the three-point arc for 50 percent and the Panthers were 6 of 11 from three-point range for 55 percent.Both squads also were deadly from the free-throw line. The Falcons were 15 of 16 at the charity stripe with Jolliffe making all eight of his free throws. Guard Nick Tennell (Jr./Port St. Lucie, FL) was 4 of 4 and forward Julius Murphy (Fr./Goldsboro, NC) was 2 of 2 at the free throw line. Claflin made 21 of 25 free throws. The Falcons (0-3 overall) continued to battle despite falling behind early. Down 12 at halftime, they were only outscored 37-33 in the second half.

The Falcons scored 20 points off 14 Claflin turnovers, but were outrebounded 34-23. Montel Williams led three Claflin double-figure scorers with 17 points including five three-pointers. The Falcons host College of Faith in their home opener at Emery Gymnasium in Raleigh, N.C., on Tuesday, November 25. The contest starts at 7 p.m.
