Amere May (South Haven, MI) scored 23 points to lead four Saint Augustine's University players in double figures, but the Falcons lost a heartbreaking 90-89 CIAA men's basketball contest in overtime to Livingstone College on Senior Night at Emery Gymnasium on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. This was the last regular-season home game for the Falcons.

Tashaun Stockdale (Poplar, SC) added a career-high 19 points and senior center
Jonathan Crawley contributed 15 points and tied a career-high with 15 rebounds for the Falcons. Junior guard
Raheem Jolliffe (Fayetteville, NC) chipped in 13 points.
May drained a three-pointer with 20 seconds left in the extra session for an 89-88 lead over the Southern Division leaders. Eric Mayo hit two free throws with two seconds remaining to give the Blue Bears the win.
Mark Thomas of the Blue Bears hit two of three free throws with four seconds left in regulation to send the contest into overtime tied at 82-82. May had put the Falcons up 82-80 on a floater with 15 seconds remaining.
The Falcons led 44-29 at halftime but the Blue Bears started the second half with a 26-10 run. Jody Hill made a three-pointer for a 55-54 Blue Bears' lead with 11:48 on the clock.
The Falcons surged back in front 66-61 on a Jolliffe layup with 7:15 left. The score was tied 72-72 on a Stockdale layup with 5:07 remaining. Two free throws by May gave the Falcons a 78-74 lead with 1:47 in the game, but the Blue Bears tied the score at 80-80 on Mayo's layup, setting the stage for May's floater and Thomas' free throws in the final 48 seconds of regulation.
Thomas led the Blue Bears with 17 points and 11 assists. Jody Hill and Mayo each scored 16 points and Anthony Welch added 13. Emarri Bailey had 11 points for the Blue Bears, who shot 51 percent in the second half. Senior guard-forward
Joel Kindred (Raleigh, NC) had nine points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists for the Falcons, who outrebounded the Blue Bears 49-35 on the boards which led to 27 second-chance points.
The Falcons shot 48 percent from the floor but made 21-of-36 free throws. The Blue Bears shot 44 percent including 9-of-30 from three-point range.
The Falcons fell to 1-8 in the Southern Division, 4-11 in the CIAA and 11-14 overall. The Blue Bears upped their record to 8-1 in the Southern Division, 11-4 in the CIAA and 18-6 overall.
Stockdale scored 11 points in the first half to pace the Falcons to a 15-point halftime lead. Crawley added nine points for the Falcons, who shot 53 percent in the first half and held the Blue Bears to 39 percent. The Falcons trailed early, but went on a 30-10 spurt for a 34-18 lead. The margin reached 18 points twice in the last two minutes of the half.
Mayo led the Blue Bears with seven first-half points. Thomas and Mike Okam each scored six points.
Kindred and Crawley were recognized before the game along with three women's basketball players, one cheerleader and the campus radio/TV station videographer during Senior Night ceremonies.
The regular season ends for the Falcons on Saturday, February 22 when they take on Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, N.C. Game time is 4 p.m.
