Falcons, Lady Falcons Visit Fayetteville State In Season Finale Saturday (Feb. 22)

Saint Augustine's University visits Fayetteville State University in a CIAA men's and women's basketball doubleheader at Capel Arena in Fayetteville, N.C., on Saturday, February 22, 2014. The women's game starts at 2 p.m. followed by the men's contest at 4 p.m. This is the last regular-season game for the Falcons and Lady Falcons.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and military personnel with ID. Visiting college students and children get in for $6. The Lady Falcons (3-6 Southern Division, 7-8 CIAA, 12-12 overall) are led by sophomore guards Regime McCombs (Greenville, SC) and Porscha Walton (Chesterfield, VA), and sophomore forward Terri Jacobs (McDonough, GA). McCombs averages a team-high 12.8 points and Walton averages 10.6 points, 3.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals. Jacobs averages 8.9 points and collects 8.9 rebounds. The Lady Falcons have won two consecutive games.

The Falcons (1-8 Southern Division, 4-11 CIAA, 11-14 overall) are paced by junior guard Amere May (South Haven, MI), senior guard-forward Joel Kindred (Raleigh, NC) and senior center Jonathan Crawley (Richmond, VA). May leads the Falcons in scoring with a 19.5 average and Kindred averages 13.7 points and 6.6 rebounds. Crawley averages 11.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and a league-high 2.0 blocks. He leads the conference with a 61.2 percent shooting percentage.

The Broncos (5-4 Southern Division, 9-6 CIAA, 17-9 overall) are sparked by forward Tyrrel Tate with an 18.6 scoring average. The Lady Broncos (7-2 Southern Division, 11-4 CIAA, 18-6 overall) are led by guard Amber Calvin and center Deja Middleton. Calvin averages 15.9 points and Middleton averages 13.3 points and 11.8 rebounds. The Lady Broncos are the Southern Division co-leaders.
