The women's contest is a rematch of a non-conference game between both teams on November 24, 2014. The Lady Falcons lost 75-68 but have been on a roll since then, winning seven of their last 10 games.

Terri Jacobs (McDonough, GA) of the Lady Falcons has been especially hot of late. The sophomore forward had 20 points and 14 rebounds against Chowan University and 18 points and 14 rebounds against Bowie State University.

Jacobs moved up the CIAA individual rankings in two categories due to her recent play. She ranks fifth in rebounds per game (9.2) and field goal percentage (51.8).

The Lady Falcons (2-2 CIAA, 8-5 overall) also got production last week from guards Porscha Walton (Jr./Chesterfield, VA) and Jeanne-Marie Wilson (Jr./Temple Hills, MD). Walton averaged 15 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals, and Wilson averaged 13 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals last week. Overall, guard Regime McCombs (Jr./Greenville, SC) leads the team in points per game (13.5).

The Lady Falcons will attempt to slow down guard Ashley Freeman of the Lady Panthers (0-4 CIAA, 4-9 overall). In the first meeting between both teams, Freeman tallied 20 points, seven steals and four assists. She ranks third in the CIAA in points per game (20.1) and is one of three conference players who average 20 or more points.

The men's contest marks the return of Panthers' Head Coach Tony Sheals, who was the Falcons' Head Coach last season. Current Falcons' Head Coach MarQus Johnson was an assistant under Sheals a season ago.

Anthony Gaskins (Greenville, NC) has been the sparkplug for the Falcons (0-4 CIAA, 6-8 overall). He averaged 17.7 points, four rebounds, 3.3 assists and one steal last week. The sophomore guard finished with a career-high 26 points in addition to four assists, four rebounds and two steals against The Lincoln (Pa.) University on Saturday.
