RALEIGH, N.C. – .Guard Raheem Jolliffe (Sr./Fayetteville, NC), the CIAA scoring leader, pumped in a game-high 20 points for Saint Augustine's University in a 76-62 CIAA men's basketball loss to Livingstone College on the Harvey D. Heartley, Sr. Court at Emery Gymnasium on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.

The defeat snapped a two-game winning streak for the Falcons, who fell to 2-2 in the Southern Division, 3-6 in the CIAA and 9-10 overall. The Blue Bears upped their record to 4-0 in the Southern Division, 7-3 in the CIAA and 13-6 overall.

Guard Anthony Gaskins (So./Greenville, NC) and forward Quincy January (Fr./Atlanta, GA) scored 11 points and 10 points, respectively, for the Falcons. Eric Dubose scored 18 points and Hakeem Jackson added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Bears.

The Falcons led briefly in the early minutes but eventually fell behind for good. The Blue Bears opened a 13-point lead late in the first half and took a 41-30 lead into halftime. The visitors were ahead by double digits most of the second half. A Gaskins three-pointer pulled the Falcons within 65-55 with 6:29 left, but they would get no closer.

The Falcons shot 38 percent compared to 41 percent for the Blue Bears, who made 24 of 30 free throw attempts. The Falcons were 9 of 15 from the charity stripe. Though the Falcons committed fewer turnovers (13) than their opponent (15), the Blue Bears scored 20 points off the Falcons' miscues.
