A win by the Falcons (3-3 Southern Division, 10-12 overall) in the men's game will give them at least sole possession of third place over the Golden Bulls (3-3 Southern Division, 12-11 overall).

The Falcons and Lady Falcons swept the doubleheader against the Golden Bulls in Raleigh, N.C., on January 21. Forward Terri Jacobs (Jr./McDonough, GA) had a career night with 22 points and 21 rebounds in an 84-82 Lady Falcons' victory. The Falcons were victorious in the men's game 68-63 behind 19 points apiece from the dynamic guard tandem of Raheem Jolliffe (Sr./Fayetteville, NC) and Anthony Gaskins (So./Greenville, NC).

Gaskins is coming off a career-high 35 points including seven three-pointers in an 86-71 win over Winston-Salem State University on Monday, February 9. The Lady Falcons fell 59-56 to the Lady Rams in the opener.

The Golden Bulls men's team is riding a three-game win streak including a 91-85 overtime victory over Fayetteville State University on February 7. The Golden Bulls women beat Fayetteville State 74-67 same day.

Stedmon Lemon leads the Golden Bulls men with a 14.5 scoring average and Emilio Parks averages 13.4 points. For the women, Anika Jones paces the Golden Bulls with a 12.0 scoring average.

Guards Regime McCombs (Jr./Greenville, SC) and Porscha Walton (Jr./Chesterfield, VA) average 13.3 points and 13 points, respectively, for the Lady Falcons. Jacobs averages 11 points and 9.6 rebounds while guard Jeanne-Marie Wilson (Jr./Temple Hills, MD) averages 10.7 points.

Jolliffe leads the CIAA with a 17.6 scoring average and Gaskins averages 14.1 points for the Falcons. Freshman Quincy January (Fr./Atlanta, GA) averages 10.8 points on 65.6 percent shooting which leads the conference.

The Golden Bulls men top the CIAA in field goal percentage (47.9), assists per game (17.8) and blocks (5.1). The Falcons rank second in fewest turnovers (13.1) and third in offensive rebounds per game (14.5).

The Lady Falcons are first in the conference in free throws attempted (30.5) and made (20.8) and first in field goal attempts (65.8). The Golden Bulls women are third in the CIAA in steals per game (11.4).
