Guard Anthony Gaskins led the way with 24 points and four assists in a 90-88 Falcons' victory over the Golden Bulls at Brayboy Gymnasium in Charlotte, N.C., on Feb. 11, 2015. Guard Raheem Jolliffe added 20 points and forward Quincy January finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds. January had several crowd-pleasing dunks and scored the eventual game-winning layup with 1:02 left. His bucket gave the Falcons an 89-88 lead, and they held on to win when Gaskins added a free throw and the Golden Bulls committed a turnover in the final 20 seconds.

Quincy January (So./Atlanta, GA) led the Falcons with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 75-56 CIAA loss to Winston-Salem State University at the Gaines Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016. The high-flying forward added three blocks and made 9 field goals on 15 attempts including several rim-rattling dunks. Keith Crawford (Sr./Richmond, Va.) added 11 points, six assists and four rebounds for the Falcons.
About the Falcons' Head Coach
MarQus Johnson is in his second season as the Falcons' head men's basketball coach. In his first season, Johnson coached guard Raheem Jolliffe to All-CIAA honors and forward Quincy January to CIAA Rookie of the Year honors. Johnson was elevated to head coach after two seasons as assistant men's basketball coach with the Falcons from 2012 to 2014. He was previously an assistant coach at Saint Augustine's University from 2008 to 2010. In the 2009-10 season, Johnson helped direct the Falcons to their second CIAA championship in school history. That squad advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament and earned a national top 25 ranking.

Sophomore forward Quincy January (Atlanta, GA) leads the CIAA in rebounds per game (9.0). His 3.29 offensive rebounds per game rank 30th in Division II. He is fourth in the CIAA in blocks (19) and fifth in field goal percentage (58.4). January is the team's leading scorer with a 15.9 average. He is a Preseason All-CIAA pick who was the league's rookie of the year last season. The high-leaping forward has seven double-doubles, which ranks 25th nationally in Division II.

Quincy January ranks seventh nationally in Division II in free throw attempts (150). He is 31st in Division II in free throws made (90).
Gaskins Scoring From The Perimeter
Preseason All-CIAA pick Anthony Gaskins (Jr./Greenville, NC) is picking up where he left off last season. He is the team's second-leading scorer with a 12.5 average despite missing four games due to injury.
Crawford Steady In The Backcourt
Senior guard Keith Crawford (Richmond, VA) is third on the team in points per game (10.4) and leads the team in assists per game (3.3). He is fourth on the team in rebounds per game (3.6). Crawford was named CIAA Player of the Week this season.

Stedmon Lemon ranks second (20.9) and Diondre Pratt ranks fifth (16.6) in the CIAA in points per game for the Golden Bulls.
