T
OP PLAYERS FOR THE FALCONS
Quincy January: Last year's CIAA Rookie of the Year has been a terror for opposing players in the paint the last few weeks. He recorded his CIAA-best ninth double-double against the Broncos and maintained his top-five field goal percentage ranking in the conference with a 7-for-9 effort from the floor.

Anthony Gaskins: The sharpshooting point guard is fully recovered from early-season injuries and is looking like the player voted to the Preseason All-CIAA team in October 2015. Gaskins could always score but is starting to show the all-around skills that were showcased last season.

Marquis Hines (Sr./Fayetteville, NC): The Falcons' big man is starting to establish himself in the paint. He averaged nine points, five rebounds and 2.5 assists in the last two games including 10 points on 4-for-7 shooting against the Broncos. Facing Fayetteville State, which is located in his hometown of Fayetteville, N.C., gave Hines extra incentive to play well.

Keith Crawford (Sr./Richmond, VA): The senior guard was his steady self against the Broncos, scoring nine points on 3-for-6 shooting including 2-for-4 behind the three-point arc.

Nick Moyer (Sr./Martinsville, VA): The senior forward produced off the bench for the second straight game. He totaled seven points on 3-for-6 shooting, four rebounds and three steals.

Jeremy Saunders (Jr./Hampton, VA): The junior guard is settling into his role as a perimeter scorer off the bench. He connected on 2-for-4 three-point attempts for seven points. Saunders also added three assists and two steals.

Antonio Watson (Fr./Raleigh, NC): The first-year point guard tied Moyer for team-high honors with three steals. He also scored two points and dish out two assists. His ballhandling and floorleading abilities have impacted the Falcons during their two-game win streak.

QUOTE
"It was a great team effort and win tonight," Falcons' Head Coach MarQus Johnson said. "I've talked to the guys about finishing plays and executing. For the most part, they did that. We have to get better at the free throw line (9-for-24) and rebound better (39-41), but I'm proud of the way they fought."
