RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 29) – Follow the Saint Augustine's University men's basketball team via live video and live stats tonight (Nov. 29) at 7:30 p.m. when the Falcons visit Chowan University. The non-conference contest will be played at the Helms Center in Murfreesboro, N.C.

The Falcons (1-6 overall) are coming off their first win of the season over the weekend. They defeated Elizabeth City State University 58-52 in the VUU Thanksgiving Classic in Richmond, Va., on Nov. 26. Tyre Gathright (Jr./Wilmington, NC) led the Falcons with 24 points.

Gathright, a guard, leads the Falcons with a 16.7 scoring average. Standout forward Quincy January (Sr./Atlanta, GA) averages a double-double with 14.8 points and 10 rebounds, and shooting guard Kenneth Collins (Sr./Clayton, NC) averages 10.7 points. Guard Quinton Morrow (Jr./Burlington, NC) averages 10 points a game. The Falcons rank third in the CIAA in field goal percentage (46.8) and second in three-point field goal percentage (38.3).

The Hawks (4-1 overall) suffered their first loss of the season against the University of South Carolina-Aiken 91-76 in Aiken, S.C., on Nov. 25. Gus Rowland, a guard, led six double-figure scorers with 14 points.

For the season, guard Tim Hewett is the Hawks' top scorer with a 16.2 average. Guard Demetrius Sanders averages 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds. The Hawks lead the CIAA in points per game (86), field goal percentage (50.7) and points allowed (65.2).
