RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 11) – Saint Augustine's University will hit the road again when the Falcons take on Catawba College in a men's basketball tilt on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. The non-conference contest will take place at Goodman Gymnasium in Salisbury, N.C.

Tuesday's contest marks the fifth consecutive away game and ninth in 10 matchups for the Falcons since the season started Nov. 10. They are coming off an 83-75 loss to Claflin University in Orangeburg, S.C., on Saturday, Dec. 9, in which talented newcomer Tyre Gathright (Jr./Wilmington, NC) scored 22 points for the Falcons.
Gathright leads the Falcons (2-7 overall) in scoring with a 16.9 average. Standout forward Quincy January (Sr./Atlanta, GA) averages 15.5 points and a CIAA-leading 9.8 rebounds, and Quincy Morrow (Jr./Burlington, NC) averages 10.5 points for the Falcons, who are shooting 47.6 percent from the floor and 71.3 percent from the free throw line.
Catawba (2-5 overall) fell to Tusculum College 87-73 in its last outing on Dec. 9. Jameel Taylor came off the bench to score 18 points and Malik Constantine added 14 points and 10 rebounds as four players scored in double figures.
Jerrin Morrison leads the Indians with a 21.2 scoring average. The Indians are making 40.5 percent of their shots and 62.3 percent of their free throw attempts.
The Falcons will be at home the remainder of the week as they begin the CIAA portion of their schedule. They will host three CIAA teams in five days beginning with Virginia State University at Emery Gymnasium on Thursday, Dec. 14. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
