SAU Men's Basketball Visits Belmont Abbey Saturday, Dec. 30 (Live Video and Live Stats)

RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 29) – After a 12-day holiday break, Saint Augustine's University resumes play Saturday, Dec. 30, against Belmont Abbey College in a men's basketball contest in Belmont, N.C. Tipoff is 2 p.m. at the Wheeler Center.

This is the final non-conference game on the Falcons' schedule. Guard Tyre Gathright (Jr./Wilmington, NC) averages a team-high 18 points and forward Quincy January (Sr./Atlanta, GA) averages 15.2 points and 12.5 rebounds. The Falcons (5-8 overall) own a three-game winning streak.

January leads the CIAA in rebounds per game and shooting percentage (64.9). On a national level, January ranks third in Division II in rebounds per game. He also ranks eighth in defensive rebounds per game (8.6), 13^th in total rebounds (125), 14^th in offensive rebounds per game (3.9), 15^th in double doubles (6) and 16^th in field goal percentage. The high-flying forward is third among active Division II players in career rebounds (900) and tied for third in career double doubles (44) for the Falcons, who average 70.3 points per game.

Guard DeQuan Abrom averages 22.1 points to lead three double-figure scorers for Belmont Abbey (6-6 overall). Guard Jacob Wilson averages 14.2 points and forward Deion Lane averages 13.9 points for the Crusaders, who average 78.5 points per game.
