RALEIGH N.C. (Feb. 6) – Saint Augustine's University will host its second straight CIAA basketball doubleheader on Wednesday, Feb. 7, when the Falcons and Lady Falcons face Winston-Salem State University at Emery Gymnasium. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men.
Tickets are $13 for general admission and $8.50 for faculty, staff, senior citizens, military personnel with ID, visiting college students with ID and children ages 6-12. The doubleheader is free for SAU students with valid ID and children ages five and under (one per paying adult). Due to limited capacity, high school coaches' passes will not be honored.

The Falcons (3-2 Southern Division, 11-11 overall) will attempt to win their third straight men's game and stay in the Southern Division race on Wednesday. They are coming off a 75-53 rout of Fayetteville State University at home on Saturday to move into a second-place tie in the division. Tyre Gathright (Jr./Wilmington, NC) scored 22 points and Quincy January (Sr./Atlanta, GA) added 16 points and seven rebounds in the win.
The Rams (0-5 Southern Division, 4-16 overall) have lost eight straight games including a 79-73 road defeat at the hands of Livingstone College on Saturday. Jamel McAllister had 16 points and 11 rebounds and William Crandell scored 16 points in the loss for the Rams, who are sixth in the division.
In their first meeting on Jan. 13, the Falcons beat the Rams 74-65 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Gathright scored 19 points and Kenneth Collins (Sr./Clayton, NC) added 18 points while January pulled down 12 rebounds. January is 25 points and six rebounds away from reaching the 1,500-point, 1,000-rebound career milestone.
The Lady Falcons (2-3 Southern Division, 6-14 overall) are looking to bounce back from a 70-54 home loss to Fayetteville State University on Saturday. The defeat snapped a two-game win streak for the Lady Falcons, who are sitting in fourth place in the division. Kaaliya Williams (Sr./Richmond, VA), the nation's third-ranked Division II free throw shooter, scored 18 points and Kelsee Arnold (Jr./Fayetteville, GA) added 11 points in the loss.
The Rams (4-1 Southern Division, 10-10 overall) have won two in a row including an 83-72 road win over Livingstone College on Saturday. Kandace Tate scored 23 points to lead four double-figure scorers for the Rams, who are second in the division.
The SAU women will try to avenge a 100-59 road loss to the Rams in their first meeting on Jan. 13. Quiera Gilmore (R-So./Charlotte, NC) scored 11 points for the Lady Falcons and Brionna Pate tallied 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Rams.
