RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 9) – Saint Augustine's University hosts Johnson C. Smith University in a CIAA men's and women's basketball doubleheader on Senior Day at Emery Gymnasium Saturday, Feb. 10. Tipoff is 2 p.m. for the women and 4 p.m. for the men.
Tickets are $13 for general admission and $8.50 for faculty, staff, senior citizens, military personnel with ID, visiting college students with ID and children ages 6-12. The doubleheader is free for SAU students with valid ID and children ages five and under (one per paying adult). Due to limited capacity, high school coaches' passes will not be honored.

Eight seniors will be recognized between the women's and men's contests. The women's basketball seniors are Paulette Addison (Wilmington, NC), Tomisha Davis (New Bern, NC) and Ke-Ashe Lee (Roanoke, VA), and the men's basketball seniors are Kasey Bryant (Raleigh, NC), Kenneth Collins (Clayton, NC) and Quincy January (Atlanta, GA). The cheerleading seniors are Carlisa Maxwell (Charlotte, NC) and Trynace Miller (Charlotte, NC).
The Falcons face the Golden Bulls in a crucial men's contest. Heading into Saturday, the Falcons (12-11) are tied with Shaw University for second place in the CIAA Southern Division at 4-2 while the Golden Bulls (16-7 overall) are atop the division at 6-0 with four games left. A win would move the Falcons one game behind the Golden Bulls and keep them in contention for the division crown. The Falcons are on a three-game win streak.
The Lady Falcons (6-15 overall) are looking to move into a third-place tie with a win over the Golden Bulls in the women's game. Currently fourth in the division standings, the Lady Falcons are 2-4 while the Golden Bulls (14-8 overall) are third at 3-3.
