RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 6) – Saint Augustine's University (SAU) plays its first men's basketball game away from Raleigh, N.C., this weekend in the McAfee Memorial Classic in Atlanta, Ga.
The Falcons face host Morehouse College on Saturday, Dec. 7, and LeMoyne-Owen College on Sunday, Dec. 8, at Forbes Arena. Game time is 2 p.m. both days.

SAU (2-2 overall) is coming off a tough 72-64 non-conference loss to fellow CIAA member Bowie State University at home on Thursday, Dec. 5. Jalen Gaddy (Sr./Raleigh, NC) led the Falcons with 17 points followed by 12 points from Rashad George (Jr./Raleigh, NC) and 11 points from Karaan Clemonts (Jr./Weldon, NC).
The Falcons enter the Classic as the nation's top-ranked three-point shooting team in NCAA Division II. They are making 46.3 percent of their attempts behind the arc.
Leading the way is Donte Edwards (So./Durham, NC), who ranks 24th nationally in Division II and second in the CIAA in three-point field goal percentage (50.0). Gaddy ranks fourth in the conference in three-point shooting percentage (40.0). The trio of Edwards, Gaddy and George are among the CIAA's top 10 leaders in three-pointers made per game.
Gaddy paces the Falcons in scoring (18.5 ppg). Gary Jefferson (Jr./Baltimore, MD) averages 14.5 points and Miguel Brown (Jr./Wilson, NC) averages 10 points. Edwards and George each average 9.8 points and Karaan Clemonts (Jr./Weldon, NC) averages 8.5 points.
SAU takes on a Morehouse team that was ranked 25th nationally in the NABC Division II Preseason Poll. The Maroon Tigers (4-3 overall) are no longer ranked but are a solid squad with three double figure scorers, led by the duo of Malik Kennedy (12.7 ppg) and Xavier Brewer (12.4 ppg). They defeated Winston-Salem State University by two points and lost to Shaw University by one point in the CIAA/SIAC Challenge in mid-November.
LeMoyne-Owen is 1-3 overall entering the Classic. The average margin of its three losses is 11.6 points.
