SAU Men's Basketball Visits Johnson C. Smith Thursday (Feb. 7)

RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 6) – Saint Augustine's University visits Johnson C. Smith University in a CIAA Southern Division men's basketball game in Charlotte, N.C., on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2018. The contest starts at 7:30 p.m. inside Brayboy Gymnasium.
 
This is the third road game in six days for the Falcons, who return home Saturday, Feb. 16, against crosstown rival Shaw University at Emery Gymnasium. The contest against the Golden Bulls was originally scheduled on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Gaddy, who came off the bench, scored all 22 points in the second half and Gathright added 13 points as the Falcons took control after holding a slim 28-27 halftime lead.

The Falcons fell 74-49 to Johnson C. Smith University on Jan. 20, 2018. Kenneth Collins scored 12 points for the Falcons, who entered the contest on a three-game win streak and had won seven of their last eight matchups. D.J. Harrison and Tyre Gathright each scored nine points with Harrison grabbing five rebounds.
 
LAST GAME
Tyre Gathright scored 25 points and Donte Edwards (Fr./Durham, NC) added a career-high 24 points off the bench to lead the Falcons past Chowan University 83-79 in a CIAA cross divisional game at the Helms Center in Murfreesboro, N.C., on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019. The victory was the fourth straight over the Hawks.
