SAU Men's Basketball Visits Johnson C. Smith Tuesday (Feb. 11)

RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 10) – Saint Augustine's University takes on Johnson C. Smith University in a CIAA men's basketball contest in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Brayboy Gymnasium.

The Falcons (9-15 overall, 4-10 CIAA) picked up a big win on Saturday, Feb. 8, edging Southern Division leader Winston-Salem State University 69-68 on Senior Day at Emery Gymnasium. The victory snapped the Rams' seven-game winning streak. Aaron Johnson-Cash (So./San Francisco, CA) and Karaan Clemonts (Jr./Weldon, NC) both scored 12 points to lead four double-figure scorers.

Gary Jefferson (Jr./Baltimore, MD) is the top scorer for the Falcons (13.1) this season. Jalen Gaddy (Sr./Raleigh, NC) averages 12.3 points and has made 53 three-pointers. Miguel Brown (Jr./Wilson, NC) leads the team in rebounding (5.4) and Clemonts is the steals (1.5) and assists (2.5) leader.

Cayse Minor paces the Golden Bulls (15-7 overall, 9-4 CIAA) with an 18.5 scoring average. Justice Goodloe is the team's assist leader (4.2).

Both teams met earlier in the season on Jan. 27. The Falcons fell 73-68 in overtime at Emery Gymnasium.
