SAU Men's Basketball Hosts Virginia-Lynchburg In Home Opener Tuesday

RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 15) – Saint Augustine's University (SAU) makes its home men's basketball debut against Virginia-Lynchburg at Emery Gymnasium on Tuesday. Tipoff is 7 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for general admission.

The Falcons are coming off two season-opening losses against tough competition in the MEC/PSAC/CIAA Tipoff Challenge in Charleston, W.Va., this past weekend. They played high-scoring Glenville State and Charleston, W.Va., ranked 25th nationally in the preseason NABC Coaches Poll.

SAU led much of the game against Charleston on Saturday, Nov. 13, before falling late in a 62-59 loss on Charleston's home court.

Falcons guard Dhashon Dyson (So./Chicago, IL) stood out at the Tipoff Challenge, averaging 20 points in two games including 23 points against nationally-ranked Charleston.
