RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 20) - Both the Saint Augustine's University women and men have dynamic first-round matchups in the CIAA Basketball Tournament, which will be held in Baltimore this week. The men's and women's tournament brackets were released Sunday. 

The 9th-seeded Lady Falcons, winners of their last three games, take on 8th-seeded Winston-Salem State on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 2:20 p.m. The 11th-seeded Falcons' men face crosstown rival Shaw, seeded sixth, on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. 

Top-seeded Lincoln (Pa.) awaits the SAU-WSSU women's winner in the women's quarterfinals on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 4:30 p.m. The SAU-Shaw men's winner plays No. 3 seed Winston-Salem State in the men's quarterfinals on Thursday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. 

The Lady Falcons and Rams played twice during the regular season. SAU won the first game 69-68 at home on Jan. 15. WSSU won the rematch 61-50 in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Feb. 5. 

The Falcons' men and Shaw met once on Feb. 2 with the Bears winning 53-47 on their homecourt.
