RALEIGH, N.C. (Aug. 19) – Student-athletes from the Saint Augustine's University (SAU) Department of Athletics will assist in the Southeast Raleigh community on Saturday, Aug. 20.
The SAU women's basketball team will volunteer at the Back To School Community Day school supply giveaway hosted by N.C. Central head men's basketball coach LeVelle Moton and NBA player P.J. Tucker, both Raleigh natives.
The giveaway will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Raleigh Boys Club on 605 North Raleigh Blvd.
A few blocks away, members of SAU men's basketball and women's volleyball teams will help out at the Stuff The Bag Back To School Festival featuring Atlanta Hawks head basketball coach and Raleigh native Nate McMillan. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lions Park on 516 Dennis Ave.
Both events are free to the public.
