Lady Falcons Take On Mount Olive Monday

After a nine-day exam break, the Saint Augustine's College women's basketball team returns to the hardwood Monday (Dec. 12) versus Mount Olive College in Mount Olive, N.C. The non-conference contest begins at 5 p.m. inside Kornegay Arena.

The Lady Falcons (4-2 overall) are eager to play after losing 76-69 to West Virginia Tech on Dec. 3. In that game, senior center Keyona Bryant paced the Lady Falcons with season highs of 27 points and 11 rebounds. For her efforts, she was named CIAA women's basketball player of the week. Bryant leads the team in scoring (18.8 ppg) and rebounding (8.2 rpg).
The Trojans (3-2) counter with three double-figure scorers, led by Andrea Jones with a 19.8 scoring average. They are 2-1 against CIAA teams this season.

The series record between both teams is 3-3 since 2003. The Trojans won the last meeting 68-65 at home in 2009. The last victory in the series by the Lady Falcons was 78-70 at home in 2008.
