ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Saint Augustine's College had a tough outing at the Hampton Jordan Classic softball invitational hosted by Claflin University, losing all five games over the weekend at Hillcrest Field.

On Friday (Feb. 10), the Lady Falcons were defeated by Davis & Elkins College (14-5), Clark Atlanta University (8-4) and Benedict College (10-2). On Saturday (Feb. 11), they lost to Brewton-Parker College (12-0) and Fort Valley State University (9-1).

There were some bright moments for the Lady Falcons at the event. Kathryn Tokarski (Sr./Saskatchewan, Canada) picked up two RBIs against Davis & Elkins including a one-run triple. Ramadana Simmons (Jr./Atlanta, Ga.) and Jennifer Plair (Soph./Hampton, Va.) both earned an RBI versus Clark Atlanta and Renitta White (Fr./Leland, N.C.) smack her first career college home run against Fort Valley State.

The Lady Falcons (0-7 overall) host Peace College in a doubleheader matchup between Raleigh schools on Sunday (Feb. 19) at Buffaloe Road Park. The first game starts at 11 a.m.
