The Lady Falcons are coming off their first victory in their home opener on Tuesday, November 19. Led by 16 points and 12 rebounds from sophomore forward
Terri Jacobs (McDonough, GA), the Lady Falcons downed Claflin University 83-76 at Emery Gymnasium. Sophomore guard
Regime McCombs (Greenville, SC) added 15 points on 4 of 5 three-point shooting and sophomore guard
Porscha Walton (Chesterfield, VA) scored 14 points and added four assists.
McCombs, the 2012-13 CIAA Basketball Rookie of the Year, is the team's top scorer with a 15.7 average. Jacobs averages 11.7 points and a team-high 7.7 rebounds, and Walton averages 10.3 points and 2.3 steals for the Lady Falcons (1-2 overall), who are averaging 10.7 steals and making 43 percent of their three-pointers.
USC Aiken (1-3 overall) has lost their last three games. A Peach Belt Conference member, USC Aiken is led by junior guard Mackenzie Reese, who averages 18 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Senior forward Porscha Martin averages a double-double of 12.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per contest.
In the Pacers' last game, Reese scored 22 points and Martin pulled down 10 rebounds in a 70-60 loss to Anderson University on Monday, November 18. The Pacers are shooting 40 percent from the floor but their opponents are shooting 42 percent.
Ticket prices are $7 for general admission. They are $5 for children, visiting students and senior citizens.
