St. Aug Women Visit Mount Olive Saturday (Nov. 30)

The Saint Augustine's University Women's Basketball Team visits Mount Olive College at Kornegay Arena in Mount Olive, N.C. at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013.

The Lady Falcons (2-3 overall) have won two of their last three games entering Saturday's non-conference affair. They are led by sophomore guard Regime McCombs (Greenville, SC), who paces the team with a 13.2 scoring average. She was named CIAA Player of the Week this week.

Sophomore forward Terri Jacobs (McDonough, GA) averages 10.6 points and a team-high 6.8 rebounds. She scored a team-high 14 points in an 80-69 loss to Barton College on Tuesday, November 26. Sophomore guard Porscha Walton (Chesterfield, VA) averages 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.4 steals, and sophomore guard Jeanne-Marie Wilson (Temple Hills, MD) is contributing 7.0 points and 2.4 steals. As a team, the Lady Falcons average an impressive 11 steals per game under Head Coach Rachel Bullard, who was named CIAA Coach of the Week this week.

Mount Olive is 2-2 overall after topping Elizabeth City State University at home 77-50 on Nov. 23 behind 19 points from senior guard-forward Kirksten Mitchell and 18 points from senior guard Joneiqua Gary. Four Lady Trojans average double figures in points including Gary (19.5 ppg), senior guard Andrea Jones (18.5 ppg), Mitchell (13.0 ppg) and senior guard Katie Paschal (12.8 ppg). Both Jones (47 percent) and Gary (46 percent) are making over 40 percent of their three-point attempts for the Lady Trojans, who shoot 40 percent behind the three-point arc as a team in addition to averaging 17 assists. Senior guard-forward Jasmine McDonald leads the Lady Trojans with 10.2 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.8 steals a game.

This is the third of six straight away games for the Lady Falcons.
