Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 RALEIGH, N.C. – Junior Taylor Walters (Douglasville, GA) and freshman Meranda Zanni (Phoenix, OR) each had two RBIs for Saint Augustine's University in 4-2 and 7-4 softball losses to St. Andrews University at Buffaloe Road Park on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Sophomore Daja White (Leland, NC) scored three runs for the Lady Falcons.

In the first game, St. Andrews built a 3-0 lead, but the Lady Falcons closed within 3-2 in the bottom of the third inning. Senior LaKiesha Ford (Madison Heights, VA) scored on an outfield error after Daja White doubled to centerfield. Daja White later scored on a Zanni groundout. St. Andrews added one run in the top of the sixth inning for the final score.

In the second game, St. Andrews opened a 5-0 lead by the time the Lady Falcons batted in the bottom of the third inning. The Lady Falcons scored in the third when Daja White crossed the plate on Zanni's sacrifice fly. The Lady Falcons tacked on two runs in the sixth inning to get within 5-3. Walters smacked a two-run triple which scored junior Jo'Landa White (Leland, NC) and freshman Korey Hill (Virginia Beach, VA), who reach base on a walk. White reached base on a single.

St. Andrews scored two runs in the top of the seventh for a 7-3 lead. Daja White homered to centerfield in the same inning for the final score.

The Lady Falcons will play in the CIAA Round-Up this weekend in Petersburg, Va. The Round-Up will be held Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9.
