Saint Augustine's University will aim for its sixth consecutive women's basketball win when the Lady Falcons visit Chowan University at the Helms Center in Murfreesboro, N.C., on Monday, January 5, 2015. The contest starts at 5:30 p.m.

This will be the second away game in three days for the Lady Falcons (1-0 CIAA, 7-3 overall), who are coming off a 73-69 CIAA opening victory over Elizabeth City State University on Saturday, January 3. Guard Jeanne-Marie Wilson (Jr./Temple Hills, MD) scored 22 points and guard Porscha Walton (Jr./Chesterfield, VA) had 17 points, 8 steals, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. The win was the fifth straight for the Lady Falcons.Â
The CIAA matchup is the second between the Lady Falcons and Hawks this season. Both teams played each other in a non-conference contest on December 2, 2014, with the Lady Falcons winning 78-76 at Emery Gymnasium. Guard Regime McCombs (Jr./Greenville, SC) led the Lady Falcons with 19 points in that contest. Forward Terri Jacobs (Jr./McDonough, GA) added 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Walton finished with 14 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. Alisha Mobley led the Hawks with 14 points and 8 rebounds.Â
The Hawks (1-1 CIAA, 5-7 overall), winless at the time, are much improved since that contest. They topped CIAA defending champion Shaw University 66-57 at home on Saturday. Jordan Payne sparked the Hawks with 22 points.

McCombs leads the Lady Falcons in scoring (15 ppg) and is among the nation's top three-point Division II shooters. Walton averages 12.2 points, 4 rebounds and 2.3 steals while Wilson averages 12.1 points. Jacobs averages 8.4 rebounds in addition to 9.7 points. The Lady Falcons rank 16th in Division II in offensive rebounds per game (18) and average 76 points per game.

Mobley paces the Hawks in scoring (15.2 ppg) and rebounding (7.2 rpg). Naima Harrington is the top assist leader (3.9 apg) for the Hawks, who average 64 points a game.
